My Approach

Counselling and music therapy are offered through a collaborative and client-centred approach that honours each person’s lived experience, identity, and strengths. Sessions move at a pace that feels manageable while focusing on what matters most to you. Clients are welcome to choose counselling or music therapy, with flexibility to shift approaches over time as needs and goals evolve.

Past clients have sought support for a range of experiences, including grief and loss, trauma, gender and sexual identity exploration, neurodivergence, relationship and family challenges, burnout, and periods of transition or uncertainty. Experience includes working with children, youth, and young adults, as well as 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and members of Indigenous, immigrant, and refugee communities. My clinical work has taken place in elementary and high schools, mental health clinics, community health centres, and social pediatric centres.

My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and grounded in anti-oppressive, disability-affirming, and culturally humble care.

(Music therapy) can make the difference between withdrawal and awareness, between isolation and interaction, between chronic pain and comfort -- between demoralization and dignity.

— Barbara Crowe (Past President of National Association for Music Therapy)

I am an active member of the Pride Therapy Network of Montreal, a collective of independent mental health practitioners dedicated to providing culturally informed, accessible, and affirmative care for sexual and gender-diverse communities. As part of this network, I engage in ongoing training and group supervision to ensure an anti-oppressive, holistic, and intersectional approach in my practice.
