What Is Music Therapy?
In music therapy, the therapeutic relationship is developed through verbal or non-verbal communication based on music. The music therapist offers musical experiences tailored to your goals and therapeutic needs.
These experiences include both active and receptive techniques. They involve, among others, singing, composition, improvisation, rhythmic activities, discussion of lyrics and song sharing, playlist creation, imagery and relaxation experiences, and instrument practice. Certified music therapists listen to and support their clients through active listening, verbal reflections, and musical creations.
